With a handful of supporters in attendance NDP Candidate Henri Giroux opened his Cassells Street campaign office Wednesday evening.

Giroux spoke to his party’s platform as well as where he sees the week spots of his opponents. He says people are not happy with the broken promises of the Liberals, nor are they happy with the Conservative Bay Street fat cat attitude.

Giroux says his party will move immediately to boost the minimum wage to $10 an hour. He also says that he doesn’t believe such a move would force small business out of business as he contends people will spend more in the community, if they have more money.

The biggest challenge he says he will face in winning the riding will be to get NDP voters out to the polls.
