NBPD To Participate In Canada Wide Traffic Campaign

The North Bay Police Service will be participating in a Canada wide traffic campaign commencing today. This campaign is supported by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.

Operation Impact will attempt to address some of the more problematic intersections within the city that concern motor vehicle collisions.

These 10 intersection locations are available to media personnel who contact the above.

Specific officers will be assigned to enforce traffic laws at these intersections as well as those laws involving the prevention of motor vehicle collisions such as speeding, aggressive driving and impaired driving.

Operation Impact will continue over the long weekend until Monday the 9th of Oct.

As well as enforcement of the Highway Traffic Act, the North Bay Police Service will have two RIDE enforcement evenings on Friday and Saturday the 6th and 7th of October.
