We have new details about that accident we reported on last night.

At around 4:45 yesterday afternoon, the North Bay Police were rushing to a collision between a  Dodge pickup truck and a PT Cruiser car at the intersection of Lee Avenue and George Street.

While en route to the scene, police were told that the male driver of one of the vehicles had bolted from the scene and was fleeing on foot.

Police located the suspect in the area of Nelson Avenue after a short chase.

An investigation showed that the truck had been stolen.

Police say the female driver of the car has injuries that are not life-threatening.

The woman was transported to hospital by ambulance for medical attention.

There is extensive damage  to both vehicles. (see photo gallery below)
