NORTH BAY - The Ministry of Transportation wishes to advise that the Highway 11 Groundhog River Bridge, just west of Fauquier will be closed to traffic between 10 am and 2 pm on Monday, December 1st to Thursday, December 4th for emergency repairs.
The bridge sustained damage from a truck collision on November 10th, and for safety reasons has been reduced to one lane of traffic. To carry out necessary repairs and reopen the bridge to two lane traffic, temporary closure is required for four hours at a time from December 1st through December 4th.
There is no local detour available. Motorists should schedule their travel around the planned bridge closures. Please reduce your speed when approaching the bridge.
