More local COVID-19 cases announced this morning

The North Bay-Parry Sound District Health Unit has announced two more COVID-19 cases in the region during its 9:30 a.m. Monday update. 

This news comes after eight new cases were announced on Saturday by the North Bay-Parry Sound District Health Unit, which was the largest one-day increase in cases since the start of the pandemic.

The latest cases involve an individual 20 to 39 years of age with the cause believed to be community spread.  The second new case involves an individual 20 to 39 years of age and it is under investigation. The Health Unit indicates both individuals are isolating. 

As of Monday morning, there are 7 active cases in Nipissing District and 14 in the District of Parry Sound. 

Today's total is now at 112 for the region with 57 cases resolved in Nipissing District, 34 resolved in Parry Sound, and only one death.
