Temiskaming Shores - The Ministry of Natural Resources is looking for the public's assistance to help solve a natural resource violation case which resulted in a forest fire on Devil's Rock - a significant ecological and frequently visited tourist area.

On the afternoon of Thursday, August 9, 2007, a forest fire was started on Devil's Rock. MNR is interested in speaking to any person or persons who may have visited this remote site on this date and/or who may have more information pertaining to this incident.

Anyone who might have information pertaining to this incident or any other natural resource violation are being asked to call conservation officer Mike Schenk at 705-647-6988 or the MNR TIPS line at 1-877-TIPS-MNR (847-7667). Anyone with information who would like to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
