Sport North Bay is pleased to announce the City of North Bay and Mayor Victor Fedeli have proclaimed Fair Play Day with Mike O’Shea on March 21st, 2007.

To celebrate this Wednesday, Grey Cup Champion and North Bay athlete, Mike O’Shea will be in attendance on March 21st, 2007 - 7:00 p.m. at the Elks Club – 325 Elks Lane.

Mike will be speaking to an energetic crowd as Sport North Bay introduces their Blue Sky Region “Fair Play Manual”.

“We are very proud of the work our program committee has done on this manual. Sport North Bay has always been a strong advocate for respect and fair play through sport and recreation”, said Sport North Bay Chair Heather Chambers.

To further commit to this belief, Sport North Bay has joined a new movement with Sport in Canada called True Sport. True Sport will be on hand at this event to help educate the participants about the True Sport organization.

“Mike is a great champion for fair play and everything it entails – he has a wonderful story to tell. It’s our hope that his partnership in this event will help us get Fair Play Manuals in the hands of as many athletes, parents, coaches, administrators and officials as possible”, adds Chambers.

Earlier in the day, Mike will be speaking at Widdifield Secondary School to a full house in the gymnasium at 9:00 a.m. Community is welcome. Many thanks, to the Elks Club for their sponsorship of this event.
