Good afternoon,

Following this morning’s announcement by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency which has been widely reported, please find some information on how McDonald’s Canada responded.

McDonald's Canada’s food safety and quality control standards are among the highest in the industry.

As a precautionary measure due to an on-going CFIA investigation at our turkey supplier, Maple Leaf Consumer Foods, McDonald’s Canada is temporarily not serving our Turkey BLT sandwich in our Canadian restaurants. The Turkey BLT is the only McDonald’s product on our menu affected.

McDonald's has not experienced any related issues to date.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but food safety and quality at McDonald's will not be compromised. We are closely monitoring the situation and are taking guidance from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
