Why I Love Dreamcoat
Five years ago, I participated in my first ever Dreamcoat production. “Free to Be You and Me” was Dreamcoat’s 2006 spring show. Since then, I have done 3 shows per year all the way to now. “The Jungle Book” will be my fifteenth. The reason I have kept coming back show by show is not just because of my love for performing, nor the amazing shows we have put on, but because of the incredible friendships we have all made that carry on year by year. Dreamcoat gives kids the chance to learn and do musical theatre, but what happens backstage has truly made it over the top. It is just incredible how much we are able to get along show by show. Though it is sad when we have finished a show, we are all very happy to know we have new friends. And that is the magic that has brought me back to Dreamcoat year by year. It is a privilege for the kids of North Bay to have this opportunity and it is an opportunity that should be recognized.
