On Saturday Feb 2, 2008, Cheapskates Quality Sporting Goods is hosting Ontario’s longest running Snowboard Competition, SNOW WARS, at Laurentian Ski Hill.

The competition is in its 14th year and has proven to be one of the best events in the North.

This competition attracts participants from throughout Ontario. Registration can be done at Cheapskates, 274 Main St East, or at the hill that day starting at 1:00pm. Cost is $20 if currently holding a lift pass or $40.00 which includes a lift pass.

The judging starts at 4:00 pm and will run through until approx. 8:00 pm. Categories are 15 and under, 16 and over, Female and Skier.

Winners and participants will have an opportunity to win great prizes from many of our sponsors which include;

Burton, Billabong, Laurentian, Llama, Nixon, Oakley, Ride, Rossignol, Spy, Volcom, Von Zipper.

Burton will also be at the hill with an on-snow demo beginning at 2:00 pm.

The competition welcomes all participants and spectators for another successful and enjoyable outdoor event.
