A Mattawa resort owner organized a successful fundraised to benefit Mattawa flood victims.

Nicole Grigorov, who owns the Mattawa River Resort and Cardinal Lodge, organized an event on Wednesday at their resort.

She says the event raised $2200.

"It was a great success," said Grigorov.

"We also bought gift cards in town to support local businesses."

She says residents from other townships also took part in the fundraiser which included an Italian buffet which offered pasta fettuccine alfredo, caesar salad, homemade rolls and lasagna.
