Forty-two people attended the New Recognition Ceremony at Gordon Dufoe Park in Mattawa to celebrate a brand new sign and Dufoe family dedication bench.

There was an art display of Gordon's works, courtesy of Jennifer Dufoe, Gordon Dufoe, and Clermont Duval.
Speakers included Jennifer Dufoe, Dexture Sarrazin (Mattawa Town Councilor), Clermont Duval (artist and owner of Clermont Duval Art Gallery in Mattawa), and Doug Mackey (writer and former curator of the Mattawa District Museum).
Following the ceremony the Mattawa Museum allowed free admission to guests of the ceremony to view Gordon's art exhibit.
