TWG Communications wishes to congratulate the Mattawa
Hospital on the occasion of the grand opening of their brand new acute and emergency care facility. The grand opening of the Mattawa Hospital brings to fruition the health care hopes and dreams of the community.

TWG Communications is proud to have had the opportunity to be involved in this momentous event. “As the largest advertising, marketing and branding agency in northern Ontario we have worked with a wide variety of clients from around the globe.” said TWG V.P. Strategic Marketing, Theo Margaritis. “Our Friends at the Mattawa Hospital will now provide world class heath care from a world class facility and we are proud to have created the new visual identity they will be using.”

The creation of the logo took place over several months and many meetings with a great deal of input from members of the hospital board, administration and staff and members of the community.

TWG V.P. Creative, William Ferguson said, “The creative process often takes time and patience, even more so when dealing with a century old institution embarking on a new course. The new logo went through many revisions and a great deal of sensitivity was given to hospital history. In the end, the board opted to use the construction of the facility as an opportunity to modernize their logo and to move forward.”

The new logo comprises many elements and provides a stylized profile of the hills and water which are the geographic identifiers of the region. Colours have been specifically chosen to reflect the natural beauty of the area, they are warm and inviting and are currently used widely throughout the health care field.

“We know this is a new look for the hospital, it is crisp, clean, and modern and response to it has been very positive,” said Margaritis, “I can’t wait to see it on the signage and other materials. It’s going to look great and be a wonderful graphic ambassador for both the hospital and area.”

TWG’s insight and expertise in developing visual brands for various health related organizations in the region, include The North Bay District Hospital, The North Bay Distict Hospital Foundation, The Northeast Mental Health Centre, and One Kids Place.
