Marijuana Seized in R.I.D.E. Check

North Bay OPP arrested three men after locating a quantity of marijuana at a Festive R.I.D.E. check.

On Monday evening (December 18th, 2006), North Bay officers were conducting R.I.D.E. on Highway 17 near Stockfish Ford when they encountered a vehicle with three males. Officers did not find that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, however, they did denote the presence of marijuana products in the vehicle. Police subsequently seized over 60 grams of Marijuana.

24 year old Mogan Little of Montreal, 25 year old James Nassas and 25 year old Christopher Whitman (both of Sudbury) are charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

• Possession of Schedule ii Substance
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

They are all scheduled to appear in court in North Bay on Tuesday January 30th, 2007.
