A prisoner who was being booked this morning at the North Bay Police Service suddenly bolted and ran out of the garage bay door as it was closing

The prisoner, who had been arrested on a parole violation, was chased on foot by Constables Ross Lingley and Steve Taylor, who finally caught him in Thomson Park.

Marcel DIOTTE, 39, of no fixed address, was brought to the North Bay District Jail and will be charged with escaping lawful custody.
