Maple Leaf Foods in conjunction with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled a number of meat products fearing that the products may have been tampered with.
Police are investigating the situation after being called when Maple Leaf employees found a number of syringe casings Sunday at the company's plant in Kitchener, Ontario.
The company warns the public to avoid the following products:
Kent Smoked Hams (approx. 2.2 lbs.) - Best Before Date JA 01
125-gram Schneider's Lifestyle Fat Free Cooked Ham Sliced - Best Before Date DE 29
125-gram Schneider's Lifestyle Fat Free Cooked Ham Sliced - Best Before Date JA 04
125-gram Schneider's Lifestyle Fat Free Turkey Ham Sliced - Best Before Date DE 30
125-gram Schneider's Lifestyle Fat Free Smoked Ham - Best Before Date DE 29
