Man tries to buy pot, gets robbed

When the victim brought out his cash to buy the drug, he was threatened with a replica gun, assaulted, and robbed.

An effort to buy drugs got a man robbed Friday.

Shortly after 1 p.m. , a man called North Bay Police to report a robbery that occurred earlier that morning.

Police say that three men met the male victim on the property of a high school on O’Brien Street on Friday, December 4th at approximately 12:30 a.m., following an arrangement to sell the victim some marijuana.

When the victim brought out his cash to buy the drug, he was threatened with a replica gun, assaulted, and robbed.

Following an investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged two men.

Dustin Seddon, age 19 and Joseph Willett, age 26, both from North Bay, were both charged with:

  • one count of robbery using firearm;
  • one count of trafficking marijuana under 3 kg; and
  • one count of breach of probation.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both accused were held in custody for bail.

North Bay Police have requested a warrant for the arrest of a third suspect.

The investigation continues.
