North Bay police were called to Walmart, at Northgate yesterday to help store security with a shoplifter.
They say that Walmart security was trying to apprehend a man for shoplifting when he threatened to kill the Walmart security personnel, then spit at him.
North Bay Police arrested the man on Fisher St. a short time later.
Charged is Jared Mahy, 18, of North Bay, with:
- 1 count Theft under $5,000
- 1 count uttering threats
- 1 count assault
Mahy is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
