City police report that shortly before 6 p.m. last night they were called to a single-vehicle accident in the area of Jet and 10th Avenue in North Bay.
The initial investigation indicated that two people from the vehicle had fled the scene with one person running into Lake Nipissing.
Efforts were made to find the individual, which included help from the OPP Marine Unit, but the person remains at large.
North Bay Fire and Emergency Services and the North Bay Paramedics also responded.
The North Bay Police notified the province’s Special Investigation Unit and so will be unable to provide further information.
