A man faces multiple charges after threatening three people, including his girlfriend as North Bay Police were dispatched to a private school on Commerce Court following a threats complaint.

Police say that between January and February, the man threatened three victims, and smashed his girlfriend’s mobile phone.

They say the attacker assaulted his girlfriend yesterday morning at a North Bay home where he was staying. Later that day, when she arrived at the private school where she is a student, she told school officials that she was concerned for her safety and that of other victims.

School officials contacted police and, as a precautionary measure, and also secured the building.

Police found the man at a North Bay home, where he was arrested. They searched him after his arrest and seized an unmarked prescription bottle containing 11.5 Percocet pills.

As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged a 24-year old man from Crystal Falls, Ontario, with:

  • Three counts of utter threats;
  • One count of mischief;
  • One count of assault; and
  • One count of possession of a schedule I substance.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police say in the interest of protecting the identity of the victims, they will not be releasing the name of the accused.
