One of North Bay's busiest streets, Algonquin Avenue will be closed August 2nd for a water main repair, but at least it's happening at night.

The City will be conducting repairs on Tuesday, August 2 starting at 9 p.m.

Nearby residents will have to clean their teeth and do other bedtime business early, or make other arrangements.

In order to fix the break, the City will shut down water service to businesses and residences in the area.

  • The two southbound lanes on Algonquin will be closed to traffic at Greenwood Avenue.
  • Southbound traffic will be diverted around the area via Greenwood Ave. to Browning St. to Reynolds Ave.
  • Northbound lanes and local access will be maintained during construction.

The closure is expected to last for approximately eight hours.
