Top Dad Leon La Point

The North Bay Downtown Improvement Area celebrated the start of summer with their annual Summer Stroll 2006.

The day was entertaining from start to finish with musical performances from ‘That 70s Group’ and ‘Rude Boys Fashioned Music Jam' to highland dancing and Karate, but highlight of the day was the Downtown Dad Dash.

Five local dads competed for rank of ‘Top Dad’ by racing down Main Street performing different stunts and at different businesses that included cake decorating, guzzling smoothies and completing puzzles.

Leon La Pointe not only walked away with $500 Downtown Dollars, but he demonstrated why he deserved to be called ‘Top Dad’ as he announced half of the purse he would be sharing with his daughter.
