You can get your fix on Saturday March 5th as Stack Brewing presents the 2nd Annual Northern Ontario Microbrew Festival in Sudbury.
The full day (1p.m. to 10p.m.) event will showcase Northern Ontario Craft Beer.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample beer from Outspoken Brewing and Union Jack Brewing from Sault Ste. Marie, Sleeping Giant Brew Co. from Thunder Bay, Lake of the Woods Brewing from Kenora, New Ontario Brewing from North Bay, Split Rail Brewing from Gore Bay, Highlander Brew Co. South River and of course Sudbury’s own Stack Brewing.
“With so many breweries opening in the region, this is a great chance to try beer from every Northern Ontario brewery, here under one roof”, said Shawn Mailloux, owner of Stack Brewing.
“We’ll also be welcoming the return of Rheault Distillery from Hearst. We had a great time sampling their locally made vodka and whiskey last year.”
Also in attendance will be some honorary Northerners like Muskoka Brewery (Bracebridge), Lake of Bays (Baysville), and Sawdust City Brewing (Gravenhurst).
“Aside from the beer, we’re looking forward to having local restaurants on site doing what they do best and we’ll have a great line-up of musical entertainment”, continued Mailloux.
One of the highlights of the night will be the unveiling and announcement of the winner of Stack’s Homebrew Competition. Attendees will learn who won, and they’ll also get to try the winning brew.
Tickets are $35 (plus tax) for all-day access to the festival, a branded festival glass, and two sample tickets.
Tickets are available at Stack Brewing, Fromagerie Elgin, and in North Bay at New Ontario Brewing on Cassells St.
