Lottery fraud leads to charges

In December 2013 the West Parry Sound OPP were called to investigate the theft of Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) lottery tickets at the Nobel ESSO Gas Station.

In December 2013 the West Parry Sound OPP were called to investigate the theft of Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) lottery tickets at the Nobel ESSO Gas Station.

Over the course of several months the Crime unit and the OLG Investigation and Enforcement Bureau conducted an investigation into allegations of an internal theft.

Investigation revealed that for over a period of time an employee had been playing online lottery tickets without paying for them.

On November 6, 2014, Christopher MACE, 20 years of age from McDougall Township was arrested and charged with Theft over $5,000.

He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on January 15 to answer to his charges.
