It may have been a hot past couple of weeks in North Bay, but that did not stop many North Bayites from coming out in droves to take part in Christmas scenes

Cast North officials say the response for casting calls were overwhelming for the Hideaway Pictures production of Miss Jingle which shot in downtown North Bay and the waterfront this month.

Micheline Blais, President of Cast North, encourages interested extras to continue to send in casting calls.

“Even if they did not make the cut for this one! There are more to come! I want to let people know that that it is usually first come, first booked, although we will receive hundreds of submissions it is difficult to respond to them all,” said Blais.

“It may be that they were too young for this one, or they responded after so many others in front them, or they did not have the right look for the scenes. That doesn't mean you don't have what it takes to be on TV, it just means try again next time.”

Blais says there are more opportunities on the horizon.

“I just want to offer some encouragement to the community members who felt disappointed that they didn't make it for this one,” said Blais.

“There are more to come! So keep on trying with each show! We would love to have you out on the next show.”

Blais says interested extras should register at www.castnorth.com
