A West Ferris student will be among 20 Ontario High School entrepreneurs who will “Make their Pitch” at Discovery 2019.

Dillon Anderson, a grade 11 student, put together a two-minute video about D Target Hockey School, which is a hockey school business idea that would be unique to Northern Ontario.

Anderson, who is an avid hockey fan and is currently a junior scout with the Powassan Voodoos,  will pitch his idea live at Discovery 2019 in hopes of gaining startup support and entrepreneurial mentorship through the program.

The finalists were chosen through online voting and judges' scores.

The competition gets underway on May 13, where the finalists will pitch their ideas in front of a live audience and a panel of judges.

Six winners will be chosen, with each receiving reserved entry in Ontario's Summer Company program, a $750 education voucher, InteraXon's brain-sensing Muse headband, and HEXA's Eclipse projector tablet.
