The Nipissing University Black Association for Student Expression (NUBASE) and Chippewa Secondary School has partnered with Future Black Female on workshops being held this week.

Future Black Female (FBF) is a not-for-profit organization that works to empower Black girls and women to take charge of their health and financial well-being, their education and career paths, and participate fully in social, political, and civic arenas.

NUBASE's event is being held on Tuesday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the NUSU Student Centre (221 College Drive). This event is open to all Black females in North Bay and the surrounding areas.

"The event will provide our Black female community the opportunity to discuss and share our experiences, and highlight the important role that the younger generation have in our future, and the powerful presence within professional spaces," said Simone Branch, NUBASE Administrative Director.

NUBASE will also be hosting a workshop for Nipissing University faculty, staff, and administration called "Allyship in Action".

The Creating Pathways for the Black Gen Z Workforce conference series is also being held at other institutions including the Toronto Metropolitan University.
