Due to the inclement weather during the Labour Day long weekend, local golf courses such as the North Bay Golf and Country Club and Highview Golf Club are extending their support to Soldier On.

Initially, local golf clubs were raising money for Soldier On through Soldier On Golf, a local initiative of Tom Hedican, Honorary Colonel for 51 Aerospace Control & Warning Squadron, during the past long weekend.  However, local golf courses have extended the fundraising opportunity, in some cases, to the end of September.

22 Wing and local golf clubs recognize the importance of the Soldier On program as it is a Canadian Armed Forces program that supports currently serving members and veterans providing a comprehensive approach to care for ill and injured members.
