Paul-Emile Perron has dedicated 31years serving the club in the capacity of President and continues to lead the organization in new and vital missions today

“Making a Difference” in the restoration and conservation of natural resources in the East Ferris area for over 35 years, Nosbonsing Anglers and Hunter’s President Paul Emile Perron was presented with the Sportsperson of the Year Award, last Wednesday during the Nosbonsing’s club monthly meeting by Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH)- Zone D Vice Chair Gerry Geisler.

In 1983 Paul-Emile Perron rallied a group of likeminded community people to discuss the possibility of forming conservation-based hunting and fishing club for the Astorville area.

As a result of their meeting on March 29, 1983, the Nosbonsing Anglers and Hunters Club was established with Paul-Emile Perron pioneering the club as president.

Thirty-five years later, Perron has dedicated 31years serving the club in the capacity of President and continues to lead the organization in new and vital missions today.

In recognition of Perron’s dedication, passion and accomplishments, the club endorsed and presented a submission to OFAH Zone D award process and as a result, was selected to receive this award for Zone D.

It will now be forwarded to OFAH for consideration of the prestigious Gordon Blake Memorial Conservation Award which will be determined in spring 2019.
