The PADDLE program received a special gift Monday thanks to the generosity of the Lions Club.

The club donated $5,000 that in turn helped the program purchase a very important piece of technology -- a SMART Board. SMART board is described as a teaching tool that combines the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power of a computer. The SMART Board interactive whiteboard helps deliver lessons, write notes in digital ink, and save the work.

PADDLE (Providing Adults with Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Experiences) is a learning centre, housed at Chippewa Intermediate and Secondary School that provides special needs adults with opportunities and choices in learning experiences and community involvement.
