For the 8th Year in a row, a group of local students set up their lemonade & cookie stand on the corner of Copeland and Murray Streets to raise funds to support the Terry Fox Cancer Research Fund.

Students: Graeme Vaananen (Grade 9 Widdifield SS), Kiersten Vaananen (Grade 12 Widdifield SS), Maddy Waller (Grade 11 St. Joseph-Scollard Hall SS),

This year the Lemonade Kids collected $254.79 and presented their fund raising efforts to the Terry Fox Run organizing committee on Sunday morning at the North Bay waterfront. Over the eight years, the group has raised and donated almost $4000.

A big set of high fives go out to: Aunt Brenda Vaananen for her late night baking festival to create the dozens of home made chocolate chip cookies, Aunt Karen Waller for her cheerleading and encouragement and Grandma Jan for her wisdom and breakfast making efforts.

Looking forward to next year’s Terry Fox Run weekend. Let’s all pull together and help Terry complete his dream!
