Laurentian Ski Hill is pleased to announce that they will be opening for skiing and snowboarding for the 2007-2008 season. The untimely death of the General Manager, Doug Newell this summer left the hill without a fully certified lift mechanic. Arrangements have been made to contract the services of a certified lift mechanic for the upcoming season.

A management structure has been developed to run the hill this year without a General Manager, by utilizing the expertise of the existing staff and the volunteer board members.

In an attempt to improve the snow conditions for the winter months, Laurentian Ski Hill is developing a five year improvement. The first step has been taken this year by the addition of a Snowmaxx system. This system mixes an all-natural protein in the snowmaking water, allowing us to make snow at marginal temperatures. When the mercury dips, we can make more of the fluffy stuff even faster! The addition of the Snowmaxx system will also allow us to make a better quality snow allowing for easier grooming and a much better ski experience.
