There was one new fire reported in the East Fire Region between October 16 and October 19. Sudbury 25 was reported on October 17 at 0.1 hectares and is now out.
The fire hazard for the East Fire Region is low. Please view the Forest Fire Hazard Map http://forest.lrc.gov.on.ca/AFFM/fire/interactivemap/fireHazard_English.htm.
With hunting season upon us, hunters and campers are reminded to be FireSmart http://www.ontario.ca/fireprevention.
With cooler evenings and mornings, people are lighting campfires for warmth and cooking. Once you are ready to leave the site, please ensure to properly extinguish your campfire. For more information on how to build a safe campfire please visit ontario.ca/fireprevention
