On Thursday 21 September 2006 at 9:00 am Manitoulin OPP were called to Guardian Pharmacy located on Hwy 6 in Little Current. Sometime last evening culprits broke into the pharmacy and stole a large quantity of pharmaceutical drugs. During the break & enter an ATM machine was touched in an attempt to remove it.
Police wish to warm the public that a large quantity of drugs have been stolen and may be on the streets. These drugs can be extremely dangerous if taken without the direction of a physician, which could be fatal. Police caution the public not to take any medication that is not prescribed for you.
Police are presently investigating the break & enter and are asking the public for assistance. If anyone has any information or knowledge of this crime they are asked to call Manitoulin O.P.P. or Crimestoppers where their information may lead to a cash reward at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
