A popular fast-food restaurant on Lakeshore Drive will be welcoming guests this week.
Officials with McDonald's Canada have informed BayToday that the interior portion of the restaurant that has been closed since October 16 for renovations will re-open on December 9.
"The renovations to the restaurant include upgrades to both the back of the house and front of the house, improving the restaurant’s capacities and enhancing the overall guest experience," McDonald's Canada stated in an email.
To celebrate, local franchisee Colin MacWhirter and his team will be hosting a Friends and Family night on Thursday, December 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
During this time, they'll be selling $5 Happy Meals and Extra Value Meals, with 100 per cent of the proceeds directly supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities.
" As part of Colin and his team’s commitment to positive community connection, a brand-new modern PlayPlace will also be opening, providing a free and fun place for families to build memories and spend quality time together," the release stated.
The ownership team will be hosting a grand opening event on Saturday, December 9, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring family activities such as face painting, a photo booth, and a surprise special guest appearance.
