KPMG has asked for an extension on their reporting timeframe on the audit findings for the Memorial Gardens renovations.  KPMG was hired to audit and review the Memorial Gardens renovations, and the City of North Bay has given them complete access to all staff, emails, documents, and Minutes of all meetings.

They were scheduled to present these findings on Monday, December 23rd.  KPMG stated in an email to the City of North Bay that, “in certain instances, information relevant to our review requires additional time to obtain and analyze and we believe it would be in the best interest of all parties to ensure that our report and conclusions consider all available information.”

As soon as the review and audit is complete, a Special Public Meeting of Council will be called.  “It is important that the necessary time be taken by KPMG to do a fulsome review and audit,” stated Mayor Al McDonald.
