Knife used in assault

Police have arrested a man they say used a knife in an assault.

Police say that on July 18, a man was socializing at an Oak Street home where he and a woman got into an argument. She told him to leave.

He then assaulted her and she fled to a nearby neighbour asking them to call police. The woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

While investigating the above incident police learned that between May 25, and June 10, the same man entered a Cassells Street home where he demanded drugs and assaulted another man.

Between June 15, and June 25, he went back to the same Cassells Street residence and assaulted the victim a second time. On that occasion, he pulled a knife and cut the victim.

On July 19, he went to a Fisher Street house and assaulted the same victim a third time. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

On July 23, police arrested Marc Gerard Leblanc, aged 30 of no fixed address, and charged him with.
