King St incident draws heavy police response

'While a police presence remains on the scene, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public'

An incident this morning on King Street drew a response from both city police and OPP.

"At 7:49 this morning, the North Bay Police Service responded to a disturbance at a King Street East address," said Constable Merv Shantz. "While a police presence remains on the scene, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public."

The OPP was on the scene to assist with the investigation, says Shantz. A drone was in use and evidence markers were sprinkled across the driveway.

The investigation is continuing, and more details will be released later as they become available say police.
