A few local schools are honouring the passing of Noah Dugas, who died on November 13, 2020.

An unexpected brain bleed took Noah Dugas’ life on that sad day. The well-known 13-year-old hockey player's final gift was enriching seven lives through organ donation.

NoahStrong, an organization that supports communities through acts of kindness, selflessness and resiliency is working with several local schools to host a NoahStrong Jersey Day on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

"So, here's a call to action: let's make this year even more incredible," NoahStrong stated through social media.

"Share your memories from last year's event and encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to join us once again. Use the hashtag #NoahStrong and tag us to spread the word far and wide.

"Let's come together, as a community, as a family, and as friends, to keep Noah's spirit alive. Let's make NoahStrong Jersey Day 2023 the most unforgettable one yet!"

Some schools are raising money for the NoahStrong cause through the Jersey Day event.

"Wear your favourite jersey or don 7N1D NoahStrong apparel, and bring a $2 donation to support Noah Dugas and the NoahStrong Organization which will be collected by @sjshsac over period one," St. Joseph Scollard Hall stated on social media.

"As we mark three years since Noah's passing, let's celebrate his resilience and positivity. Honour Noah's legacy by embracing his affirmations: "I am kind, I am strong, I am helpful, I can do hard things, I can reach my goals, I am a leader, I am resilient, I am brave, I am loved."

Chippewa Secondary School is asking the same.

"Chippewa staff and students will celebrate the annual NoahStrong Jersey Day to show our support for Noah’s legacy," Chippewa Secondary School stated via social media.

"Get involved, Wear your favourite jersey or 7N1D merchandise. Donate what you can ($2.00/suggested donation). Donation ballots will be provided for 7N1D merchandise draws at the end of the day.

"We would really appreciate your support and encouragement on this day. Let's spread positivity, love, and unity by coming together on NoahStrong Jersey Day."
