A total of 484 vacancies were recorded for Nipissing District throughout the month of June according to The Labour Market Group.
This represents a large increase; 17.8 per cent more than May's total of 411.
The top vacancy job was Personal Support Worker, with 10 openings.
The June figure is also notably greater than June last year; up 8.8 per cent than the same month last year, where 445 vacancies were recorded.
The report says 207 unique employers posted vacancies. Of the 484 vacancies 458 (94.6%) were found through online sources, 82 (16.9%) requested a bilingual candidate for the position and 123 (25.4%) required some form of driver's license.
Of all vacancies 13.2 per cent were in the Health Care & Social Assistance field.
