On the 9th of Dec. shortly before 10 AM Cst. Elia of the North Bay Police received a call in regards to two males who were seen pushing a safe down Duke St. W.

The officer attended in the 100 block and saw two males with a fairly large safe that had a jacket covering same.
When the individuals could not come up with a proper story they were arrested. During this time the North Bay Police dispatcher received another call from a complainant that someone had stolen his safe.

The individuals were brought to the station along with the safe. which can be described as approximately 100 lbs and 18" in diameter.

Andre SCHINKOPF 42 years old of King St. W. is charged with Possession of Stolen property and Breach of an Undertaking and is to attend court at a later date.

Cole McCARTHY 25 years old of Regina St. is charged with Possession of Stolen property, Breach of Probation and Break & Enter. He is being kept in custody for a bail hearing.
