Nipissing University’s International Women’s Week is celebrating ecological justice today, with an Eco-Fair and panel of activists.

Nipissing University’s International Women’s Week is celebrating ecological justice today, with an Eco-Fair and panel of activists.

The Fair will feature a showcase of local business owners, artists, farmers and other service providers to discuss the transition to a more ecological, greener way of life. In the evening there is a panel, titled The Everyday Activist, taking place in room H105, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The panel features four dedicated environmental activists sharing their ideas on ecology. The panel consists of Christy Ferguson, forest campaigner for Greenpeace; Liza Vandermeer, a North Bay activist; Christine Charette, artist and designer of Chickweed clothing and accessories line; and Vijanti Ramlogan Murphy, a North Bay activist and key organizer for Greening Nipissing.
