St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School presents its annual Insights and Sounds evening on Thursday April 23. This colourful celebration of the arts
enlivens the school and local community as it provides the opportunity for students to showcase their talents in visual and performing arts.

Insights and Sounds, which became an annual event over twenty years ago, has a special purpose this year. It will raise proceeds for the “Angels Anonymous Connection”, an
organization that grants wishes to terminally ill adults that is sending the Sullivan family to Walt Disney World in Florida on May 6. This trip for the family of nine was the final wish of SJSH Administrator, Brian Sullivan’s wife, Cindy-Lee, who is suffering from terminal cancer.

Proceeds from Insights and Sounds will help cover the cost of the vacation, which is estimated to total approximately $19,000. During the evening, the public can expect performances from the music and drama departments, as well as an art display in the foyer and films from the Communication Technology department.

The entry donation to the event is a $5.00 minimum, but a larger donation is welcomed.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for the art display in the SJSH entrance.

The music and drama show begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Bishop Carter Auditorium (will feature the SJSH Marching Band and “Txt or Die” a play written and produced by SJSH Student President, Joshua Pride, which earned a spot at the upcoming Regional Sears Drama Festival).
