Impaired driver and bicycle theft in OPP report

Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible impaired driver.

News release: (PERRY TWP, ON) – The Almaguin Highlands OPP is investigating the theft of a bicycle that occurred sometime between Saturday September 19, and Tuesday September 22, from a McCrandle Street residence.

Unknown person(s) entered the property and stole the bicycle which is described as a full suspension boys blue and white mountain bike with element written on the fork of the bicycle and iron horse written on the frame.  The bicycle is valued at approximately $700.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this theft should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.

ALMAGUIN HIGHLANDS OPP CHARGE SUNDRIDGE MAN WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

(SUNDRIDGE, ON) – On Wednesday September 23, 2015 at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible impaired driver.  OPP subsequently stopped the vehicle on Bernard Crescent and arrested the driver for impaired driving.

The driver, Timothy ELLERY, 56 of Sundridge Ontario was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired, contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and Driving With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in Sundridge Ontario.
