Police arrested one man and found cocaine, ICE tabs of amphetamines, Percocet, and methamphetamine.

OPP has charged a South River man with multiple drug-related offences after a traffic stop in Sundridge Tuesday.

On March 26, the Almaguin Highlands OPP Street Crime Unit stopped a vehicle on Ontario Street in Sundridge and made an arrest.

Police found cocaine, ICE tabs of amphetamines, Percocet, and methamphetamine. The street value for the drugs seized is approximately $1,800. Police also seized an imitation pistol and cellphones.

Shane Deveaux, 43, is charged with:

  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Opioid
  • Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

Deveaux was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
