Due to an unforeseen glitch during the production process, the calendar will not be available for sale tomorrow but will be ready for purchase on July 14th at the following locations:

Demarco’s Confectionary,
Gulliver’s Quality Books & Toys,

TD Canada Trust ~ North Bay Mall,
The Victory Shop
Whitman Jewellers.

The IODE ladies will return to the Northgate Square on Saturday July 19th, 2008 to provide the public with an additional opportunity to purchase the calendar.

The calendar was first announced on January 16th, 2008 on the 75th Anniversary of the Dr. Herbert A. Bruce Chapter. As part of the Chapter’s 75th Anniversary celebrations, the “Calendar Girls” style calendar was created. It will not only serve as a time capsule and promotional tool, but most importantly will serve to raise the funds to create the $20,000 “IODE Educational Bursary for Women of Nipissing Transition House”. This bursary will be given annually, based on need, to a resident or former resident upgrading their education or attending post secondary education. Background information is available at www.northbayiode.ca .

With generous donations from individuals and businesses the calendar has become a reality. The classy but risqué black and white photos depicting the good works of IODE were taken by rossnichols photographer (www.rossnichols.com) who donated his time for this project.
