North Bay Hydro will be attending the Skyhawks game on December 2 as they take on the Blind River Beavers. During the Skyhawks game, North Bay residents will be invited to explore the benefits and importance of conservation in the Memorial Gardens lobby.

The doors open at 6pm and a number of local environmental groups will be on-hand with conservation tips, tricks and facts on why we need to adopt a more environmentally conscientious attitude.

“This is the final event in our Christmas of Conservation campaign and we are thrilled to be able to partner with the North Bay Skyhawks, Memorial Gardens and other local groups to communicate the importance of energy conservation,” North Bay Hydro Manager of Human Resources Penny Charette said.

North Bay Hydro will be continuing their string of Christmas of Conservation events and guests can exchange a string of their old Christmas lights for a brand new string of LED lights that help save both money and the environment. North Bay Hydro reminds people bringing in old lights that the exchange is limited to one new string per household, limit of 500.

“I also want to extend my congratulations to the North Bay Association for Community Living for their wonderfully creative submission to our Carolling for Conservation contest,” Charette added.
