Hwy 17 East of Sturgeon Falls Closed (updated)

Hwy 17 East is now open in both directions.

OPP are reporting the accident occured 10 kilometres east of Sturgeon Falls at about 9pm Wednesday night.

Four people were sent to hospital.

The highway was closed for about 3 hours.

OPP are responding to a motor vehicle collision approximately 10 km east of Sturgeon Falls on Hwy 17.

Injuries are reported. Police, Fire and Ambulance have been dispatched. The highway is currently closed as it is blocked.

At this time it is unknown how long it will remain closed. No immediate detour has been identified.
