Hwy 144 closed

The Ontario Provincial Police advise the public that Hwy 144 from Cartier to Hwy 101 and Hwy 101 West from Hwy 144 to Foleyet is closed as of 8:50 a.m. due to Freezing Rain causing hazardous driving conditions.

The Ontario Provincial Police advise the public that Hwy 144 from Cartier to Hwy 101 and Hwy 101 West from Hwy 144 to Foleyet is closed as of 8:50 a.m. due to Freezing Rain causing hazardous driving conditions. Several vehicles (Tractor-Trailers) are stuck or off the road.

The estimated length of time for the closure is unknown at this time.
