Three Timmins residents remain in North Bay General Hospital with serious injuries following a single motor vehicle accident on Hwy 11 North Monday afternoon.

Ontario Provincial Police say that 57-year-old Jacques Levesque of Timmins, was driving a 2003 GMC Jimmy northbound on Highway 11 between Watson Road and the northbound Highway 11 MTO scales.

His vehicle left the roadway and collided with a rock cut to the left of the roadway. The vehicle rolled over back on to Highway 11 north coming to rest and blocking both lanes.

Firefighters from thee Callander Volunteer Fire Department attended the scene and extricated the three occupants of the vehicle. Levesque, his 53-year-old wife Diane, and 81-year-old Rose Levesque were sent to North Bay General Hospital and are being treated for their injuries.

Jacques Levesque is in stable condition in the hospital's critical care unit, Rose Levesque is in serious condition in the CCU and Diane Levesque is stable and did not require treatment in the CCU, said Cst. Rick Tass, of the North Bay OPP detachment.

An OPP North East Region Traffic and Marine unit Technical Traffic Collision Investigator (TTCI) was on scene to assist Powassan OPP with the investigation. Police are continuing their probe into the cause of the crash.
